Latisse® contains bimathoprost, which was first approved in 2001 as a medical product to lower intraocular pressure in people with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. A side effect of the analog with patients who have used it is longer and fuller lashes. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Latisse® in December, 2008.
